How to Set up an iTunes Store Account

Creating an account at the iTunes Store is quick and painless. I recommend making one as soon as you get your iPod. That way, if you want to grab a quick song sometime, you’re good to go.

Apple protects your personal information like gold. In all the years I’ve used their services, I have nothing to complain about!

Here’s the steps to make your account:

or

You’ll be taken to the iTunes Store website right there from the iTunes screen - no brower needed.

First page is the agreement to the ‘Terms and Conditions’. Click ‘Agree’.

After you ‘Agree’, you’ll chose an email address to be your Apple ID and create a password, security question and answer. You get to make your own security question. Then enter your month and day of birth.

The next screen will ask for payment information. You can choose Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or Paypal.

Enter your name, address and payment information.

You can also opt-in to emails from Apple about new music available and other offers.  Apple is great about not sending toooo much, and you have the option to opt-out later.

That’s it.

Now you can start browsing the huge selection of music, videos, podcasts, TV shows, audio books and iTunes U - video lectures from various Universities.

If you see something you want to buy - you’re now preapproved and ready to go!
