Removing Songs from iPhone 3G
Hey I wanted to pass along another way to remove songs from iPhone 3G. First connect your iPhone to your computer and iTunes should open then highlight or select the iphone on the left menu under devices and you will get the menu for iTunes and select Summary. Make sure you have checked Manually manage music and videos and sync only check songs and videos. Deselect the other two options unless you’d like to encrypt iphone backup. Now Select the Music menu and select the selected playlists, artists, and genres. This will allow more manual control over everything.
Now you see your playlists that are included on your iphone and highlight the one you’d like to edit. You should then see all the songs in that playlist and to delete a song just highlight it and press delete key on keyboard. You should see your iPhone light up and say sync in progress as it erases the song from the playlist. It will not remove the song from your iTunes Library. Wow isn’t that nice to hear unless you did it the wrong way and have your Music catagory selected in the top menu of your iTunes. Be sure you have the Device selected.
To add songs to the iPhone just go up to the main Music category in iTunes and select the song or highlight it and drag it to the playlist on the iPhone under device section and it copies it to that playlist. You should see the iPhone light up saying it is syncing. Well it won’t talk to you but the screen will light up. It’s that easy, or maybe hard the first time but gets easier once you do it again.
