Another iPod Shuffle Tip

Do you know if you have the latest software installed in your shuffle?

To find out first hookup your shuffle and then select it  in the sourcelist/ device column of iTunes. Then in the main window where it shows all your songs you should see at the top of the window a tab showing either Contents or Settings. Click settings and you should see at the top iPod with Name information, Capacity, Software Version, and Serial number. Below that you should see Version which will tell you if your shuffles software is up to date. If you are experiencing problems with your iPod you can restore its original settings by clicking on the Restore button. Note that all your songs will be erased so make sure you have them backed up in your itunes library so you can restore the music after restoring your software in the shuffle.
